SFL were approached by BWP Group to help design and build a full house pop up in West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton.
Standing at 8m x 8m and over 2m tall, it was as big as the downstairs of a house. It presented many challenges but nothing that was too much for SFL.
SFL constructed the floor, the walls and pillars with a team of 8 production carpenters. The IKEA furniture was pre-built at SFL’s warehouse and all transported on a 34’ trailer. We worked all through the night so that it would be up and running for the 8am opening time.
The walls also feature real working electric sockets so lamps could be plugged in as well as a 39” screen in the living room.
The pop up stayed there for a week for people to walk around and explore.
