Youth Arts Jersey
Youth Arts Jersey are a States of Jersey owned youth services provider operating arts performance and rehearsal facilities for the island’s young people.
The new performing arts centre at St James offers fully kitted out rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and main performance space. The venue facilitates a full programme of performing arts courses including music, technology, radio, dance, drama, photography, video editing, audio production and song-writing. SFL have a relationship with Jersey Youth Services going back several years and have previously supported equipment upgrades at the older La Motte Street venue, so were the natural AV partner for the redevelopment project.
The full project included installing large-scale sound, light and video systems into the main auditorium, recording studio, three rehearsal rooms, radio studio and café at the new arts centre. Every room is connected with Cat5 and XLR tie-lines so any audio feed (digital or analogue) can be bussed around the centre.
The audio solution is based around Roland M400 and M480 digital consoles with REAC digital networking and recording facilities. A premium L’Acoustics speaker system is installed in the main venue. The main video solution in the auditorium deploys a Christie LHD700 projector. Lighting fixtures include DTS LED profile spots.
